Upgrading to Vista?

Important Instructions Regarding Vista and Privacyware Desktop Security Products

Issue: Vista is not compatible with a core Privacyware driver. Installing Vista on a computer with Privatefirewall, Dynamic Security Agent, Endpoint Security Console, Privatefirewall with Anti-Spyware or PC Security Suite installed will cause a critical system error and crash.

If you are upgrading an existing computer to Vista and currently have any of the above Privacyware software installed, it is critical that you follow these three easy steps:

1) Remove all existing installations of Privatefirewall, Dynamic Security Engine and Endpoint Security Console.

2) Reboot computer.

3) Delete the pwipf2.sys driver (located in the C:/WINDOWS/System32/drivers directory).

You may now proceed with the Vista upgrade.
