Privacyware Releases Endpoint Security Console

- Software delivers centralized administrative control over desktop defense configuration and security policy enforcement.

Red Bank, NJ (PRWEB) December 20, 2005 -- Privacyware, an innovative provider of desktop and host defense and enterprise security data analysis solutions, today announced the availability of Endpoint Security Console (ESC), an administrative console for centralized deployment and management of Privacyware’s popular Personal Firewall and endpoint Intrusion Protection Application - Privatefirewall.

EndPoint Security Console enables system administrators to install, monitor, and configure Privatefirewall on any Windows workstation within a server domain. Settings can be customized for each endpoint or User Groups, which are defined and configured within Active Directory. Privatefirewall automatically hides unused ports, assigns rules for commonly used applications, and thoroughly inspects inbound and outbound traffic to identify and disable malicious or unauthorized connections.

Key Privatefirewall features include:
- Inbound/Outbound Packet Filtering
- Port Scanning
- Comprehensive Application and URL Control
- Stealth Mode makes PC invisible on the Internet
- Detailed reports for Internet, System, and Email traffic
- Email Anomaly Detection mitigates impact of malware targeting email clients

“Enhancing control over deployment and management of our desktop defense software helps our customers more effectively protect their computing networks and private data from unauthorized access, malware and other misuse,” stated Privacyware Product Manager Chris Iannicello. “ESC provides administrators with a complete yet simple console that will enforce internal or legislated security policies such as Sarbanes Oxley and HIPAA.”

Privatefirewall and the Endpoint Security Console are available for purchase via the Privacyware web site: http://www.privacyware.com/personal_firewall.html or through an authorized Privacyware reseller. Endpoint Security Console pricing starts at $135 for a 5 endpoint pack. Volume pricing is available by calling 732-212-8110 x235.
