Privacyware CTO to Present
Research on Enterprise Security Analytics and
Machine-Learning at
WORLDCOMP'06
RED BANK, N.J., June 26,
2006 – Privacyware Chief Technology Officer Dr.
Konstantin Malkov will present a research paper entitled
“On Extreme Principles of Machine Learning in Anomaly
and Vulnerability Assessment” at the 2006 World Congress
in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Applied
Computing (WORLDCOMP'06) to be held June 26th-29th
in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Malkov’s paper, co-written with Privacyware
Enterprise Security Analytics Senior Researcher, Dr.
Dmitry Tunitsky, addresses performance and accuracy
limitations in the analysis of high-volume,
high-dimension data within anomaly detection and
analysis systems. The paper describes an adaptive,
machine-learning approach that ensures greater
throughput (requires less computational resources) and
progressively improved accuracy in the detection of and
derivation of knowledge about atypical activity among
very large data sets in dynamic computing (and other)
environments. The machine learning approaches described
enable the analytic capabilities of Privacyware’s
Adaptive Security Engine and its related Enterprise
Security Intelligence solutions.
The 2006 World Congress in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, and Applied Computing (WORLDCOMP'06) is the
largest annual gathering of researchers in computer
science, computer engineering and applied computing. It
assembles a spectrum of affiliated research conferences,
workshops, and symposiums into a coordinated research
meeting held in a common place at a common time.
Based in Red Bank, New Jersey, Dr. Malkov is the
co-founder of Privacyware, an innovative provider of
multi-layered endpoint defense and enterprise security
intelligence software. Dr. Malkov is one of the world's
foremost experts in non-linear mathematics and
artificial intelligence. He is a former professor at
Moscow State University and a founder of the Department
of Non-linear Dynamic Analysis and the I&C Laboratory.
Event Details:
Conference attendees may
join Drs. Malkov and Tunitsky for a presentation and
discussion of their research on Wednesday, June 28th,
at 9:30 am in Meeting Room 2 of the Monte Carlo Hotel
and Casino Conference Center. Additional information
regarding WORLDCOMP'06 is available on the web at:
